  • D-tagose is a rare sugar that occurs in nature(fruits, cocoa, dairy) in very small amounts. It is an isomer of fructose and has 92% of the sweetness and 1/3 of the calories of sucrose. In addition to providing low calories, D-tagose lowers blood sugar and improves gut flora,which is similar to Psicose. D-tagose cannot be used by microbes in the mouth and does not cause dental caries.

    In the beverage industry, D-tagose can be compounded with high-intensity sweeteners such as Cyclamate, Aspartame, Acesulfame, and Stevia to achieve synergistic effects to eliminate the harmful effects of these high-intensity sweeteners. Improve the mouthfeel of beverages by removing undesirable aftertaste such as metallic, afterbitter, and astringency.
